Kuai Yi is an associate based in our Kuala Lumpur office where her main areas of practice include Banking & Finance, Houzkey Facility and Houzkey Option to Continue (O2C) Transactions. Throughout her practice, Kuai Yi has also assisted numerous clients to review agreements and provide legal opinions including but not limited to Tenancy and Employment related matters.

Further to the above, Kuai Yi has represented broad range of financial institutions and various developers in Real Estate matters and Project Development involving residential and commercial properties. Kuai

Profile

Kuai Yi is a Principal Associate based in our Kuala Lumpur office. Her core areas of practice encompass Real Estate, Project Management, and Banking & Finance. She has extensive experience advising clients on a wide range of matters, including the review, drafting, and negotiation of commercial agreements and the provision of legal opinions, particularly in relation to bulk purchase master agreements, tenancy and lease arrangements, land acquisition, and sale and purchase of property.

In addition, Kuai Yi has represented a broad range of financial institutions and property developers involving both residential and commercial properties. Her work includes advising on end-to-end project development, financing arrangements, and statutory compliance including Housing Development (Control and Licensing) Act 1966 and Strata Management Act 2013, as well as acting as Developer’s stakeholders to ensure transactions are completed efficiently and in accordance with applicable laws and guidelines.

Her experience also extends to advising on cost sharing agreements, including the structuring, negotiation, and documentation of cost allocation mechanisms among developers and key stakeholders in large-scale infrastructure projects, ensuring clear allocation of responsibilities and alignment of commercial interests among the parties involved.

Furthermore, she regularly advises individual clients on the acquisition and disposal of assets, sub-sales of property, and refinancing procedures, including advising on documentation, timelines, and regulatory requirements to facilitate smooth completion of transactions.
