Profile

Elise is a Principal Associate based at our Kuala Lumpur office. She mainly maintains her legal practice in the area of real estate and corporate banking.

She regularly advises and represents property developers and individual clients on various sale and purchase and banking transactions. She has also represented various corporations in acquisition and disposal of their properties, for both residential and commercial properties.

In the sphere of corporate banking, Elise has experience of advising on various types of financing, including term loan financing and trade lines facilities for both conventional and Islamic facilities from initial stages up to drawdown.

EXPERIENCE:

Acted as the Purchaser’s Solicitor on the acquisition of apartments consisting 151 units together with its facilities in Melaka with a total consideration of RM136 million.
Acted as the Purchaser’s Solicitor on the acquisition of industrial land by foreign investors for the value of RM29 million in Selangor.
Advising, reviewing on the structure of the Rent-To-Own Scheme/Houzkey and drafting transaction documents for homeownership-based financing.
A speaker in the Budget 2023 Briefing – Real Estate and Tax to EcoWorld to give a sharing on proposed measures and/or amendments on real estate.

Profile

Suet Leng is a Principal Associate based in our Johor Bahru office, where her main area of practice is real estate, banking and corporate work.

Her current portfolio includes handling corporate, banking and conveyancing transactions. She has acted for and advised property developers in property transactions and development matters. She has also represented clients in corporate matters of acquisition of shares and businesses while also advising and representing clients on leases, tenancies, wills and trust matters.

Experience

Represented the Purchaser on the acquisition of a hotel building and office tower together with its assets therein with a total consideration of RM108 million.
Represented Purchasers and drafted agreements for transactions involving the sale and purchase of shares.
A speaker for the Negotiator’s Certification Course (NCC) at the Malaysian Institute of Estate Agents (MIEA) on the topic of Laws Relating to Estate Agency Practice (2019).
