Profile

Jacqueline is a Principal Associate based at our Kuala Lumpur office. She maintains her legal practice in the area of real estate and project development. She is regularly sought by major developers for advice on the initial stages of development projects and townships specifically on master plans, architect’s drawings and building specifications.

Jacqueline regularly advises developers, joint management bodies and management corporations on strata regulatory matters. She is also experienced in providing advice on the submission and amendment of parcels and amendments to building plans. Jacqueline also advises and represents individuals in acquisition and disposal of their properties, drafting sub-sale agreements to perfection of transfer documentations.

In the area banking and finance, Jacqueline regularly advises financial institutions in property finance including drawdown and in perfection of their loan documentations for both conventional and Islamic financing facilities.

She has previously appeared as counsel in Malaysian Courts for matrimonial proceedings, general litigation, banking litigation and matters related to debt recovery, torts, land and administration of estate.

EXPERIENCES:

Successfully represented property developers in concluding sale transactions in a number of township developments in Bangi, Klang Valley & award-winning project developments, as well as an integrated development with both residential and commercial components comprising retails shops, SOVO and service residences.
Acted and advised a Malaysian Company on the matter relating temporary occupying licence on Cameron Highlands land.
Advised Developer on PR1MA housing development.
Advised, prepared and reviewed transactional documents for the restructuring of homeownership-based financing for Maybank Islamic Berhad.
Advised a property developer and completed transaction on bulk purchase of Q Suite @ Queensville.
Advised a Malaysian company on the acquisition of two parcels of industrial leasehold land measuring approximately 48,099 square metres for a total consideration of RM11,390,133.30.
Advised a well-known housing developer on a township development in Souuthville City, Bangi which comprises of 2½ & 3-storey link homes, executive suites, retail shops, hotel and convention centre, mall, market hall on matters including but not limited to review contracts, advise on matters relating to Government and Quasi Government Authority and attending meeting and negotiations with third parties on the project development.
Acted for a Malaysia company as the Vendor’s solicitor for the sale and purchase of Hotel Bintang Warisan, Kuala Lumpur for a total consideration of RM31.8 million.
