Hong’s vast experience in dispute resolution pertaining to land matters has seen him in advisory service to financial institutions and corporations. He regularly appears as leading counsel with trial and appellate court experience and is actively involved in all levels of Malaysian courts instructed on a range of briefs: land disputes, land acquisitions, contractual and commercial disputes, industrial relations disputes, construction and building disputes.

His active involvement in all levels of Malaysian Courts has equipped him to be a counsel with immense knowledge and professionalism.

Quek’s main area of practice is real property and land, corporate and commercial. He is regularly sought by major developers, multi-national companies and financial institutions to advise and represent them.

He has represented major developers and completed sale and purchase transactions and loan documentations for urban and township development, as well as several mixed commercial and residential developments. He is regularly consulted by multi-national companies for advise in strategize their investment plan as well as preparation and reviewing of agreements and contracts for cross border investment. He is regularly consulted by business councils and organizations for advise regarding agreements and contracts. He also advises financial institutions on all matters pertaining to financing transactions, from preparation to completion of loan documentations for corporate financing, Islamic financing, commercial facilities and property financing, refinancing arrangements.

Quek represents the next of kin of the victims who were killed in the Batang Kali massacre in December 1948 to seek justice against the killings perpetrators by the British government.

Quek is frequently consulted by body corporates and various organizations for legal advice and he speaks at international and local conferences on law-related subjects including Belt & Road issues.

Thoo has an active practice in complex dispute resolution.He is actively engaged in trial and appellate advocacy at all levels of the Malaysian Courts and regularly appears as counsel in various briefs. He routinely advises individuals and body corporates in a wide area of disputes including banking and hire purchase, debt recovery, employment and industrial relations, contractual disputes in relation to properties, family matters, constitutional issues, tort, defamation and public interest litigations.

Caroline heads the family law unit in our dispute resolution department. She has vast experience in all areas of family law including contested divorce, guardianship and custody, legitimacy claim, adoption, maintenance and financial arrangements.

She has represented a teenage mother in her claim for guardianship and custody of her illegitimate child of which she has successfully obtained guardianship and custody order for the mother. In representing her clients, she constantly explores appropriate ways to provide practical solutions in resolving family disputes. Caroline also practices in the area of employment and industrial relations.
